Locations List
For this magazine I will need to look at a variety of popular places within the area in which my magazine is based. This will mean that I will need to get images of the places to be included in my magazine so that my magazine can relate to the area which it is about. Here is a list of places which I may include in the products for my magazine:

Shot List
There are a series of images which I will need to include in the products for my A2 Coursework. The images for these products will prove vital in appealing to my target audience of young people as they prefer to see images more than any other form of content when it comes to printed media. The types of shots which I will include depends on the genre and style of magazine which I am producing. As I have chosen to do a regional lifestyle magazine I will need to get certain shots of places and events happening in the area in which my magazine is based. This will have an effect on the shot types which I use.
The first shot type which I will use in my magazine is an extreme long shot showing the landscape of certain areas of Cornwall. This kind of shot is ideal at giving the audience an idea of what the areas in which I am talking about look like which will allow them to relate to the article. For this I will choose to get landscape shots of areas which may appeal to my target audience of young people such as landscape images of beaches. These will interest my target audience because of the activities which can be done at these areas.
Another shot which I may choose to include in my products is a medium close up of a model of a similar age to my target audience. This will make it easier for my audience to relate to my magazine causing them to feel less alienated.
Another shot which I may choose to use is a long shot featuring a model of a similar age to my target audience. This will allow the audience to relate to my magazine whilst still being able to show them the area which I am talking about.

Final Masthead
This is the final masthead for the magazine which I am producing and all of the products which I am making as part of the course. the choice for the features of this masthead have been specifically chosen in order to appeal to my target audience. The first part of this masthead that would appeal to my target audience is the font used. the font is very fun and bold making it stand out. The font is of a sans serif style, which appears less formal than serif fonts which are typically used more in formal texts. This makes the masthead seem more fun, which will appeal to a young target audience. This is because anything which can be connoted as fun, will stereotypically appeal to a young audience. I can infer this from Hebdige's theory 'youth as fun' suggesting that youth like anything which can be seen as fun.
The next part of this masthead which should appeal to my target audience is because of the colour used. The colour used in this masthead is bright in colour. After looking at my target audience research I have discovered that they would like to see bright colours on my magazine which is typical for people of this age range. By using bright colours in my masthead it will draw my target audience in and make them want to read my magazine.
By using a large stroke it makes the masthead stand out which again will draw readers in.

Audience Preferrences
In this post I will analyse the results gathered from a survey which I carried out to find what my target audience would like to see included in my regional lifestyle magazine.
The results show that 60% of the people surveyed were of a female gender. This suggests that my results will be swayed to this audience. This means that I should take this into account when I analyse the result of my results and realise that these results will be biased towards females.
These results show that 90% of the people who responded to my survey were aged under 18 yrs old and the remaining 10% were made up of people aged between 18 and 24. This shows that they could all be classed as youth. This will be good as this will give me a clear idea of what my target audience want from my magazine, as this age group is my primary target audience.
These results show that 100% of the people who completed my survey were of a white/caucasian ethnicity. This is good army primary target audience is made up of people of this ethnicity. These results should show me how to appeal to these people particularly.
These results show that 100% of the people who responded to my survey were of a heterosexual sexuality, which is good as these people are my primary target audience. This means my results will, give me a clear idea of how to appeal to this group of people.
These results show that the large majority of people who responded to my survey had an average household income of under £24,999 and no one had an average household income of over £99,999. This suggests that these people belong in social grades C1-E. This is good as they are my target audience and my results will show me how to appeal to this audience.
These result show that the people who completed my survey would like to see a modern style magazine. This means that my target audience would like to see this as the majority of the people who completed my survey laid within my target audience.
These results show that there was a split between the two most popular names for my magazine. These were Spindrift and Bards, with 40% each. This means that I could choose either of those and still appeal to the large majority of my target audience.
These results show that the large majority of the responders want to see an article about Trebarwith Strand for my double page spread, with 50% of the responses. This suggests to appeal to my target audience I should do an article on this.
These results show that to appeal to my target audience I should use bright colours, as this is what they find appealing. This got 40% of the responses
